Project Engineer / Early-Career Project Leader
We're partnered with a well-established General Contractor with a strong backlog of K-12, DSA, and public works projects across California. They're looking to bring on a Project Engineer / early-career project leader who wants real exposure across the full project lifecycle — not just paperwork. This is a team where you'll be hands-on in precon, field coordination, and project execution, with a clear path toward running your own work.
• Support delivery of DSA, K-12, and public works projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Work closely with PMs and field teams to keep projects moving on schedule and within budget
• Get involved in preconstruction efforts — bid support, takeoffs, and constructability input
• Track project costs, assist with change orders, budgets, and cost reporting
• Help manage subcontractor buyout, scope reviews, and contract coordination
• Maintain and track RFIs, submittals, and project documentation (Procore/Bluebeam)
• Coordinate between field, design teams, and ownership groups to keep communication tight
• Assist with QA/QC and DSA compliance requirements
• Support closeout, punchlists, and final turnover
• 3+ years of experience supporting construction projects (ideally DSA, K-12, or public works)
• Exposure to California public contracting + DSA processes is a big plus
• Comfortable with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to keep things moving
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related preferred
• Competitive base + performance bonus
• 401(k) with match
• Medical covered (plus vision/dental options)
• FSA + long-term disability
• PTO, holidays, and sick time
