Job Description
Job Summary:
Estimate, bid, and win Division 5 miscellaneous metals and structural steel projects while building strong relationships with contractors, developers, and commercial customers in Southern California.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate and bid miscellaneous metals and structural steel projects
- Review plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Perform takeoffs and prepare competitive bids
- Develop relationships with GCs, subcontractors, and developers
- Generate new business and grow existing accounts
- Negotiate pricing and close projects
- Work with Engineering and Production to ensure successful project execution
- Visit customers and jobsites throughout Southern California
- 5+ years of estimating and selling Division 5 miscellaneous metals or structural steel
- Proven track record of winning projects
Strong knowledge of construction drawings, takeoffs, and fabrication - Existing Southern California contractor relationships preferred
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable developing a book of business
