JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible to coordinate and oversee job progress and assist with dispatching piping and plumbing project/service personnel. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct job site visits and evaluate job progress.
  • Meet with project stakeholders to discuss upcoming schedule concerns or changing scope of work/added work
  • Manpower needs – Adjust as needed
  • Job site issues
  • Material procurement and overstock
  • Collect daily logs, safety reports, and other miscellaneous paperwork from the foreman and review for thoroughness and accuracy
  • Monitor jobs to ensure quality and proper compliance with job standards
  • Coordinate with project managers to meet their scheduling needs
  • Review job sites for quality control
  • Review job sites for safety control
  • Dispatch personnel to construction/service jobs as needed to maintain schedules.
  • Work with the service, controls and sheet metal departments on manpower crossover needs
  • Keep dispatch calendar up to date
  • Create forecasting reports “look ahead”
  • Check on man power attendance and timeliness

    Attend meetings as needed with project managers to discuss job progress and budget concerns
  • Keep track of material and tools
  • Material lists are to be sent to the project manager
  • Material will be pulled from shop first. Material not in stock will be ordered from vendor
  • Dispatch warehouse/driver to jobsites with material on a controlled schedule.
  • Make sure tools, ladders gang boxes, ect... are checked in and out properly
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in project and change order estimation.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing construction related financial reports and tracking
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND

COMPETENCIES:
  • Able to read and interpret project drawings and documents (RFIs, change orders, project schedules, “look ahead” reports
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, and Bluebeam
  • Able to run a multi-faceted project with different involved trades
  • Familiar with the plumbing and piping industry standards, codes, and regulations (California Plumbing Code, IAPMO, ASME B31)
  • Have a thorough understanding of commercial and industrial plumbing and piping systems theory and practical application, including domestic water, sanitary/storm drain, medical gas, process piping, and high-purity water systems
  • Able to perform design build analysis
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of occupational safety hazards and safety precautions of the work
  • Have the ability to help prepare project estimates
  • Prior experience in the installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and supporting structures.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management
  • Experience managing a union workforce under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA); familiarity with UA (United Association) local jurisdictions in Southern California
  • Ability to coordinate with union hall business managers for manpower dispatch and maintain positive working relationships with union stewards
  • Experience on HCAI (OSHPD) healthcare construction projects
  • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30
  • Proficiency in Procore and Bluebeam in addition to Microsoft Project
  • Valid California driver’s license with reliable transportation required
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:
