As an Architectural Project Manager at Plump Engineering, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and successful execution of A&E projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire project life cycle, ensuring client satisfaction, managing project teams, and meeting project goals on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Lead architectural projects from concept through completion, including design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs, providing design solutions, and ensuring their vision is realized.
- Team Management: Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, engineers, designers, and consultants, to ensure seamless collaboration and project success.
- Budget and
Schedule:
Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary to meet project objectives. - Quality Control: Implement quality control procedures to ensure designs meet regulatory requirements, codes, and industry standards.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays or cost overruns.
- Documentation: Create and manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Permitting and Approvals: Liaise with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for projects.
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor and report construction progress and answer RFI's.
- Cross-Discipline Leadership: Coordinate with Senior Architects and lead cross-discipline A&E projects, sometimes serving as project lead for the A&E practice.
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Professional Architect (RA) license is preferred, but not required.
- 8+ Years of experience in architectural project management.
- Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green building standards.
- Experience with budgeting and scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project).
