Entertainment Drafting Instructor Pool-Part-Time

This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. The department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty when the need to fill arises.

Theatre Arts Production & Design:
Entertainment Drafting Instructor will teach Entertainment Drafting classes, which are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:20 AM-1:50 PM in the Spring.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Entertainment Drafting classes
• Develop and implement curriculum
• Evaluate student progress

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline AND two years of professional experience
• Associate degree in any discipline AND six years of professional experience
• Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area
• Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment, and professional experience

Desirable

Qualifications:

• Prior teaching experience within the topics of theatrical, film, and/or event drafting
• Strong working knowledge and experience with Vectorworks CAD software
• Understanding of Light wright integration within the Vectorworks environment
• Operational experience with both PC and Mac computers
