To apply for the position of Short Term Substitute Teacher - Bilingual Farsi, you must be bilingual in Farsi and must meet one (1) of the minimum requirements below:

-Bachelor's Degree or higher
-90 semester units of course work from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university and verification of current enrollment + satisfy the basic skills requirement (e.g. CBEST or CSET Writing Skills or CSU Early Assessment Program or Qualifying Score on the SAT/ACT or College Board Advanced Placement or passage of Basic Skills from Another State or Requirement by Coursework If you currently do not have a substitute permit, the Magnolia School District will assist and guide you in the application process via the Orange County Department of Education (see information on the column to the right).

Please do not apply for your permit directly through the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. It is best to apply through the Orange County Department of Education.

In addition to the requirements above, you must complete the EdJoin application and upload the following documents:

* Credential Copy (Detailed document from CTC [if applicable])

* Test Results/Materials (CBEST/BSR & MSAT/CSET & RICA [if applicable] )

Comments and Other Information

SALARY The daily salary ranges from $195-$205 daily. In addition to the daily rate, all long term assignments (serving as the teacher of record) will add an additional $15.00 per day. All School Readiness Preschool Teacher assignments will add an additional $10.00 per day. Substitute Teacher Salary
