Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Instructor – Platt College Los Angeles
The OTA Instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction to students that meet the program and course objectives. The instructor should maintain an organized, disciplined classroom environment that is conducive to learning and imparts the requirements of the relevant workplace setting to existing students.
ResponsibilitiesProvide quality instruction in occupational therapy fundamentals, ensuring alignment with program objectives and course outcomes. Maintain an organized, disciplined, and conducive classroom environment, promoting effective learning.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of education environments including needs of adult learners
- Ability to provide a positive and effective learning environment
- Knowledge and understanding of professional career paths for which students are enrolled
- Motivation, dedication and enthusiasm for teaching
- Good organization and communication skills
- Graduate degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college
- Current NBCOT registration
- Current CA CBOT license in good standing
- 4 years full‑time experience as an occupational therapist
- Ability to understand and comply with ACOTE standards
- Documented expertise in all assigned classes
- Documented expertise in content delivery including andragogy
Adjunct, hourly, non‑exempt. Adjunct faculty hours are determined by the scheduled courses in a particular module. Adjunct faculty are scheduled as needed with no guarantee of hours at any time; scheduled hours are generally under 25 per week.

$35.00–$45.00 per hour
