Requirements / QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have an AA degree or higher or at least 48 semester units of study at an institution of higher education or pass an Assessment Test. Experience working with children in an educational or child care setting. REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE:
Knowledge of proper language usage, punctuation, spelling and grammar in English and Korean. Knowledge of general concepts of child growth and development and child behavior characteristics. Knowledge of instructional and behavioral strategies used in controlling and motivating students. Knowledge of routine record keeping and other clerical duties. Ability to communicate fluently and translate instructional materials and student progress in English and Korean.
Ability to consider different means of communicating educational ideas and concepts in both English and Korean. Ability to assume responsibility for supervising students. Ability to operate computer and media equipment and use specialized testing and instructional software applications. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and parents.
