A leading engineering and project delivery organization is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil design efforts across a diverse portfolio of land development and infrastructure projects. This role provides technical leadership, project oversight, and mentorship within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities- Establish civil design requirements across a variety of land development and infrastructure project types
- Lead the development of civil design drawings, calculations, and technical reports
- Direct and mentor engineering staff using industry-standard tools, including Civil 3D, Hydro
CAD, HEC-RAS, MathCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office - Oversee land development design activities including grading, drainage, site layout, and roadway design
, providing technical problem-solving support for complex sites - Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analysis
, modeling, and report preparation - Coordinate civil engineering efforts with other disciplines to deliver complete, multi-discipline construction drawing packages
- Mentor and develop civil engineering staff to strengthen technical capability and career growth
- Delegate work effectively within the civil team to meet project schedules and quality standards
- Develop, communicate, and manage project scope, budgets, and schedules in coordination with internal teams and stakeholders
- Manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and delivery expectations
- Lead and participate in design review meetings with project stakeholders and technical teams
- Ensure compliance with applicable municipal, state, and industry regulatory requirements
- Develop and coordinate construction materials, civil design standards, and technical specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within one year
- 8+ years of experience leading civil engineering teams and delivering land development projects
- Strong working knowledge of civil design software, hydrology/hydraulics, and site development practices
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
