Senior IT Systems EngineerResponsible for technology service delivery and acts as an independent decision maker in tasks including designing and configuring servers, applications, determining appropriate engineering tools, and troubleshooting and remediation of issues.

Positions may require working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Anaheim Hills, CA – hybrid‑remote schedule (1 day in office, 4 days remote).

RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
- 8+ years hands‑on system administration/engineering (not help desk).
- Experience with designing and implementing Azure cloud services such as Entra, Purview, InTune, Defender, and other Azure components or their equivalents at AWS.
- In‑depth knowledge of a hybrid cloud environment where on‑premises servers are integrated with and support the operations of PaaS and SaaS services.
- While this role is not a hands‑on administrator of networking equipment and firewalls, a thorough understanding of OSI layers 3‑7 is required for effective troubleshooting.
- Understanding of and keeping up with evolving technologies such as AI‑based solutions and how they can be integrated into user activity, including automation and improving productivity.
- Prior experience in a credit union is a plus, but any regulated industry is acceptable (Financial Institutions / Healthcare / public companies subject to SOX and PCI, etc.).
- Ability to work in a production environment under demanding circumstances and apply existing skills, knowledge, and techniques to new circumstances delivering high‑quality work within agreed‑upon deadlines.
- Must have strong communication skills with an ability to simplify complex technical details for a general audience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of and experience in designing and implementing cloud environments such as Azure and AWS (preferred). GCP is also acceptable.
- Experience in multi‑DC environments of over 200 Windows servers as a principal hands‑on engineer. While this is primarily a Windows‑based role, understanding and experience with Linux and UNIX machines based on Red Hat and AIX would be considered a plus.
- VMWare Administration, including virtualized storage and multi‑site recovery.
- Advanced hands‑on security administration of roles and permissions in both on‑premises and cloud environments.
- Cloud technologies – VPCs, servers, network routing and access controls, availability zones, cloud load balancing, particularly centered around Azure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Commitment to creation of excellent technical documentation in SharePoint, One Note, One Drive.
- Understanding of project management methodology using tools such as MS Project/Planner and similar solutions.
- In‑depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking, virtualization, application protocols, group policy and Active Directory design, configuration and troubleshooting, advanced scripting language skills for automation (Windows Power Shell).
- Management of assigned remediation findings, research and recommend information security enhancements including hardware, software, and design improvements.
