We’re looking for a dynamic Engineering Manager to join one of the largest machining shops in LA, you will be leading a talented team of engineers and designers in the development of next-generation products for the Aerospace and Defense sector.

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll take technical ownership of key business segments, guiding the design and development of new and legacy products while leading a cross‑functional team.

• Up to $170k+ - DOE

• Lead a high‑performing team of engineers and designers to bring new product ideas to life and optimize existing solutions.
• Manage the full engineering lifecycle — from planning and design to testing, documentation, and launch.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure technical solutions align with customer needs and business goals.
• Act as a technical authority, solving complex design challenges and delivering timely, cost‑effective results.
• Champion innovation by improving processes, accelerating time‑to‑market, and enhancing engineering productivity.
• Drive collaboration across departments and empower your team through mentorship, performance management, and leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Advanced degree preferred).
• 12+ years of experience in product design and development.
• 6+ years of direct engineering team leadership.
• Strong background in metal materials, fabrication, and finishing.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.
• U.S. Export Control compliant.

• Expert‑level engineering principles and problem‑solving skills.
• High proficiency in CAD/CAE (Solid Works preferred), MS Office, and drawing standards (GD&T).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with proposal writing, budgeting, and team development.
• Passion for continuous improvement and driving innovation.
