Legrand is seeking a collaborative and forward‑thinking Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Data, Power & Control (CCB) Team in Anaheim, CA. In this role, you will contribute to engineered‑to‑order (ETO) solutions that help our customers build reliable, scalable, and efficient systems. We welcome applicants who are passionate about solving problems, innovating within existing design platforms, and working closely with cross‑functional teams.
WhatWill You Do
- Develop manufacturing packages for custom‑configured cabinet assemblies.
- Create Bills of Material and component routings in the ERP system.
- Review customer requirements and collaborate with sales and engineering partners.
- Estimate engineering lead times and help ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Build 3D CAD assembly files using models from previous designs and adapt them to customer needs.
- Design custom accessories aligned with EIA‑310 standards.
- Create detailed drawings, weldments, assemblies, and process engineering change notices (ECNs).
- Partner with production teams to support build, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with regulatory partners, including UL, during testing activities.
- Contribute ideas and improvements that enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 per year

Qualifications- BS in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Master's in Engineering is preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in mechanical engineering or relevant hands‑on project experience.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Proficiency with general computer tools (documents, spreadsheets, presentations); experience with Solid Works is helpful.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Clear and effective communication skills, including listening and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience with sheet metal‑based product fabrication methods.
- Familiarity with engineered‑to‑order workflows.
- Interest in continuous improvement and cross‑functional teamwork.
