Protection & Control Engineer

We are seeking an experienced P&C engineer to contribute to the design and implementation of substation projects. The position is primarily remote and open to candidates across the United States.

• Perform design tasks for protection and control systems, including single-line and three-line diagrams, AC/DC power distribution, and related documentation.
• Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, and integrate SCADA systems.
• Prepare technical specifications and assist with engineering studies.
• Conduct quality reviews and support process improvements to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective designs.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
• Assist with field inspections, compliance documentation, and factory acceptance testing.
• Engage in knowledge sharing and mentoring activities as appropriate.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 3-7 years of experience in protection and control design for substations.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., NESC, IEEE, ANSI).
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Micro Station.
• Familiarity with relay configuration software (e.g., SEL AcSELerator, ETAP, SKM, ASPEN) is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• E.I.T. certification preferred; P.E. license is a plus.
• Ability to travel occasionally for site visits and client engagements.
