Associate Project Manager

The Associate Project Manager will work alongside Project Managers to manage designs and construction projects for water and wastewater treatment facilities, coordinating progress, procurement, and subcontractor and vendor management. This is an on-site position based in Anaheim, CA, ideal for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction, engineering, or architectural setting who is ready to take on greater ownership of project scheduling, bid coordination, and vendor management.
You will play a hands-on role in developing scopes of work, negotiating costs, and ensuring quality projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working alongside Project Managers to manage designs and construction projects, monitoring and coordinating progress, procurement, and subcontractor and vendor management.
- Negotiating project costs with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing.
- Developing scopes of work and preparing Request for Quote (RFQ) packages.
- Planning logistics to allow contractors to complete work in a timely and efficient manner.
- Delivering quality projects within the given time frame and budget.
- Interacting with clients in a professional manner.
- Working with Engineering, Designers, Construction Managers, and the Admin Team on project-related tasks.
- Tracking and negotiating change orders.
- Submitting RFIs and submittals.
- Preparing and maintaining project schedules.
- Creating, organizing, and distributing bid documents.
- Coordinating and collecting subcontractor and vendor bids to assist Project Managers in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates.
- Evaluating bids for materials, equipment, and supplies, and selecting vendors for goods and services.
- Generating purchase orders to vendors and tracking purchase order status.
- Coordinating equipment and material deliveries for Project Managers and others.
- Maintaining project documentation in accordance with document control standards, including logs for submittals, transmittals, RFIs, and change management.
- Coordinating and participating in site visits, factory inspections, and client meetings as needed.
