*** IMEG is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Anaheim, California. Over 10-12 weeks, you will work closely with experienced engineers and consultants on the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems for the vertical building industry.

This role offers hands-on experience supporting active project  this role, you will support project documentation, coordination, and job site observations while working within project budgets and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. You will contribute to healthcare-focused MEP work, including hospital renovations, expansions, and research facilities, while supporting high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with MEP
2050 and AIA
2030.

** What You'll Do
*** Assist with mechanical system design tasks in accordance with applicable codes and company standards.
* Research commercially available equipment and supporting resources for project use.
* Support client communication, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
* Coordinate design and schedule needs with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment-supplier teams.
* Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project progress.
* Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
* Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information.
* Conduct periodic job site observations and support other services required by the contract services agreement.
* Work within the project’s monetary budget and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.
** What You'll Bring
**** Required
* ** Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required
* Strong interest in design consulting
* Proficient with MS Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
* Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

* ** Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred
