Collections Specialist is responsible for contacting customers with delinquent auto loan accounts to secure payments, obtain payment commitments, and establish repayment arrangements. This role combines customer service, negotiation, and compliance-focused collections practices while maintaining a professional and positive customer experience.
The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and confident handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls while delivering excellent service and meeting performance goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will connect with customers regarding delinquent auto loan accounts
, secure payments or payment commitments, and help establish repayment arrangements. You will communicate with customers by phone, email, and written correspondence, resolve payment discrepancies and disputes, document account activity accurately, and provide professional, empathetic service throughout the collections process. You will also manage an assigned portfolio, follow all state and federal debt collection laws (FDCPA) and company policies, meet performance metrics, and elevate accounts when needed.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and brings experience in collections, customer service, call center operations, loan servicing, or sales

Success in this role requires strong communication, time management, multitasking, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills, along with comfort using Microsoft Office and account management systems.
