Finance Manager

University of California, Irvine is hiring a Finance Manager to oversee a complex Cancer Center research portfolio with a multi‑fund budget exceeding $35M. The role involves conducting advanced financial analysis, developing projections, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and philanthropic funding sources to support strategic decision‑making within the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.

• Manage financial analysis and budgeting for a $35M+ Cancer Center research portfolio.
• Develop projections, monitor financial performance, and conduct complex analysis for strategic decisions.
• Ensure fund management, forecasting, and compliance with financial policies and regulations.
• Expertise required in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and multiple spreadsheet/database tools.
• Preferred knowledge of University of California financial systems such as KFS, SOM Decision Support Services (DSS), Decision Support, DWQuery, and PI Report.
• 7-9 years experience managing multi‑source budgets and Federal, State, and industry‑sponsored contracts and grants.
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in finance‑related fields.
• Responsibilities include collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and serving as a key resource to the Assistant Director of Finance.
• Salary range from $97,000 to $182,200 annually with comprehensive benefits offered.
• May require occasional after‑hours work and travel between campuses.
