Banquet Bartender Job Description

Banquet Bartenders are responsible for mixing and serving drinks for guests.

• Assisting in unloading the company vehicle
• Setting up the bar area
• Keeping inventory of liquor
• Pouring beverages
• Assisting banquet servers with pouring champagne and wine for seated dinner service
• Monitoring the alcohol intake of guests to ensure safe consumption in accordance with Canyon Catering guidelines
• Ensuring underage guests are not served alcoholic beverages
• Responsible for cash handling for drink payment for cash bars
• Responsible for tearing down the bar after events
• Boxing unused and empty bottles

• Good memory – short‑term memory to keep track of guest orders and long‑term memory to recall drink recipes
• Excellent communication skills – speaking clearly and listening to guests to create a friendly atmosphere
• Strong organization – ability to multitask, track orders, payments, and waiting guests while keeping the bar clean and efficient
• Friendly demeanor – greeting every guest with a hello and a smile
• Composure – remaining calm under stressful situations
• Must be TIPS certified
