Position SummaryThe Workflow Systems Analyst is responsible for performing system administration and application maintenance for the organization’s enterprise content management systems that are used by Wescom and WRG clients, to ensure high availability and operational efficiency. This role performs complex technical functions and supports enterprise content management operations, frequently interacting with third‑party vendors and IBM technical staff. The position involves internal software design, development, and configuration activities, utilizing IBM and Kofax image management software, including enhancements to document‑routing eProcess workflow software, and specialized projects such as customized batch importing of document images.
The analyst may also perform departmental functions as needed to keep operations within service levels.
- Proactively monitor system and application performance, diagnose and resolve issues, collaborate with vendors, and initiate escalation as needed.
- Perform and document daily system checks procedures.
- Initiate and monitor daily maintenance routines supporting department operations.
- Conduct application training for internal and external clients and document procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors during patches, upgrades, and installations.
- Test changes using a development platform and deploy to production.
- Install, distribute, and expand services not requiring vendor expertise.
- Maintain and administer user and application security; configure application settings.
- Create document templates, layouts, and storage profiles.
- Provide end‑user support for document requests and resolutions via the online tracking system.
- Serve as a resource person, trainer, or backup floater to support operations within service level agreements.
- Conduct cross‑training on department functions.
- Suggest production and system improvements, and, upon approval, implement them.
- Define and document customer requirements for records management and workflow initiatives, collaborating with users, programmers, vendors, etc.
- Draft work‑order requirements as needed.
- Lead department projects, meet task deadlines, and create/update project plans.
- Perform eForm and workflow design and application configuration development using product application tools.
- Create test scripts, conduct testing, and document test results.
- Support project implementations, end‑user installations, configurations, and upgrades, providing troubleshooting and documentation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science preferred, or a 2‑year certification from a technical vocational school, or comparable work experience, with prior experience in the financial industry preferred.
- Knowledge of document imaging/management and workflow concepts.
- Demonstrated experience with a Microsoft Windows desktop and server environment.
- Experience setting up application environments, basic networking, and end‑user support.
- Technical education in Kofax Ascent and File Net, formally or on‑the‑job.
- Experience with web server configurations.
- Experience using design tools and systems analysis/search design background.
- Simple form interface design, forms automation, and integration with external databases into form automation.
- Integration of forms with a step processor interface and logic.
- Mapping data between form and workflow definitions.
- Installing and configuring services, web services integration.
- Data mining techniques.
- Setting system security and user/group profiles.
- Administration of a library system.
- Experience with IBM DB2, SQL databases, and creating web applications using HTML, Active
X objects, JavaScript, VBScript and ASP. - Knowledge of Symitar system is a plus.
