Systems Administrator - Network and Desktop Computing

University of California, Irvine is hiring a Systems Administrator 3 - Network and Desktop Computing. The role requires maintaining the integrity and security of UCI Health's server infrastructure across two data centers, supporting over 200 Windows and Unix servers and 3,000 client machines. The administrator will independently perform system analysis, develop documentation, and collaborate with other administrators to support clinical and non-clinical systems.

• Maintain and secure server infrastructure supporting UCI Health clinical and non-clinical systems.
• Manage over 200 Windows and Unix servers and 3,000 client machines across two data centers.
• Develop system specifications, disaster recovery, and application recovery documentation.
• Advanced skills in TCP/IP, ARP, DHCP, DNS, routing, and firewalls.
• Proficiency in scripting, automation, and configuration management tools such as Python, Power Shell, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Experience with Nutanix hyperconverged platforms, VMware clustering, Linux (RHEL and Ubuntu), and Cisco UCS networking.
• Minimum 5 years of enterprise computing experience at a mid to senior level.
• Knowledge of file sharing services (DFS), enterprise storage, and ITIL methodology.
• Salary range from USD $51.45 to $78.19 per year.
• Preferred experience includes supporting EMR systems like Allscripts or EPIC, managing storage area networks, and administering VMware and Active Directory services.
