We are seeking a Program Manager with software development background to be the central leader for the program team. This role will manage large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction.
Responsibilities- Directs all phases of assigned programs from inception through completion.
- Drives program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
- Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned programs and/or work packages.
- Uses Earned Value techniques (EVMS) to baseline, monitor, and control assigned programs to achieve key results using an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Directs the work of employees assigned to the program and lobbies for correct resource allocations as more or less are required, depending on the program phase.
- Leads the negotiation of new contracts and amendments to existing contracts.
- Coordinates the preparation, Statement of Work (SOW) specifications, financial/contractual terms and conditions, pitching (internal approval and external customer sales), and award of proposals.
- Acts as primary point of contact with customers for program activities and leading program review sessions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills along with proven team building experience.
- Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
- May perform other assigned duties, from time to time.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time.
- Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior related program management experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related program management experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related technical and program management experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance within 1 yr. from date of hire which requires US citizenship.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Fluent with Costpoint ERP/MRP.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $108K-$201K. For California, New Jersey, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $125-$232K. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
