position summary

the director of project management leads enterprise project strategy, governance, and execution. This role ensures alignment of strategic initiatives with business objectives and drives consistent, on-time, on-budget project delivery. The director establishes standardized processes, reporting structures, and performance metrics to mitigate risk, maximize roi, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

key responsibilities strategic & portfolio leadership
  • define and execute enterprise project management strategy.
  • align project portfolios with corporate priorities.
  • oversee portfolio health, risks, dependencies, and escalations.
  • provide executive-level reporting and performance visibility.
governance & process
  • establish and maintain sops for project intake, prioritization, and team assignment.
  • implement dashboards and standardized reporting frameworks.
  • ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
financial & resource management
  • oversee multimillion-dollar project budgets and forecasting.
  • drive cost control and financial accountability.
  • optimize resource planning across departments.
stakeholder & team leadership
  • deliver weekly updates to executive and board stakeholders.
  • lead, mentor, and develop project management team leads.
  • foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
qualifications
  • bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or related field (master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of project/program management experience.
  • 5+ years in senior pm leadership.
  • strong financial acumen and executive communication skills.
  • experience managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
