Haas 3-Axis & 5-Axis Setup | 1st Shift | $30–$45/hr
ABC Sheet Metal is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist for our precision aerospace manufacturing operation in Anaheim, California.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Pay: $30–$45 per hour, depending on experience
Employment: Full-time, on-site
This is a hands-on setup position for a machinist who can independently set up Haas CNC mills, produce an acceptable first piece, make basic program edits, inspect their own work, and troubleshoot machining issues.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate Haas 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills.
- Complete tooling, fixturing, work holding, offsets, and first-piece verification.
- Read blueprints, setup sheets, tolerances, and GD&T.
- Make basic G-code edits at the machine.
- Review and run Mastercam-generated programs.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and height gauges.
- Build or modify soft jaws, fixtures, and work holding.
- Troubleshoot dimensional, tooling, setup, and surface-finish issues.
- Adjust offsets, speeds, feeds, and tooling to maintain quality.
What You’ll Bring
- Approximately six or more years of CNC setup and machining experience.
- Haas CNC mill setup experience.
- Experience with both 3-axis and 5-axis milling.
- Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
- Basic G-code editing skills.
- Experience with precision inspection and custom work holding.
- Ability to work independently and consistently produce quality parts.
Preferred Experience
Haas UMC machines, Mastercam, probing systems, aerospace manufacturing, AS9100 environments, lathe operation, or machining aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium.
