CNC Mill - Machinist

Responsibilities

• Program using Master Cam to run parts on Vertical HAAS 3 and 4th axis, DOOSAN 5 axis, Vertical / Horizontal Mills and DOOSAN LYNX 2100
  
  LSYB MILL / TURN
• Set up Machining Centers with Haas, DOOSAN and Fanuc controls
• Operate CNC Machining Centers and Manual Mills when necessary
• Troubleshoot production and setup problems
• Manually write basic CNC programs
• Design, program, and machine part-holding fixtures using Master Cam
• Use set-up sheets, blueprints, sketches
• Verify Step files and CNC programs by running First Article Part for QA approval
• Inspect parts with all types of shop floor inspection equipment
• Keep machines, work area, and equipment clean and free of debris
• Properly maintain coolant as necessary, including removal of contaminants, correct dilution ratio, and cleaning/recharging of the machine coolant when necessary or requested by supervisor
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as needed

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Experience setting up 3‑axis, 4‑axis, 5‑axis mills and Doosan mill/turn
• Ability to troubleshoot production and setup problems
• Ability to program Haas and Doosan milling centers
• Create and work from set‑up sheets, blueprints, and sketches
• Verify CNC programs by running First Article Part for QA approval
• Must have own tools

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Degree or diploma from a college or vocational school in CNC machining, strongly desired

• 5+ years of setup experience
• 5+ years of Master Cam programming experience

• Proficient in reading and writing English at a level necessary for job performance
• Ability to guide and teach operators the basics of production runs
• Ability to give and receive critical information within and across departments

• Familiarity with the operations of various CNC machines and understanding of GTD inspection
• Familiarity with computers running Master Cam applications
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
