Machine Operator
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our spice production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery used in the processing, blending, and packaging of spices. You will help ensure the production line runs efficiently and meets our quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate spice grinding, blending, filling, and packaging machinery according to established procedures.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect and measure products to verify conformity to specifications.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of machines and work area.
- Set up machines prior to production runs and complete necessary documentation.
- Load raw materials (e.g., whole spices) into machines and monitor output.
- Collaborate with quality control and production teams to ensure product consistency.
- Follow safety protocols, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors immediately.
- Assist with inventory and material handling as needed.
- Maintain accurate production records and logs.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or spice production environment preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and troubleshoot industrial equipment.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards is a plus.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, sometimes dusty or aromatic environment.
