Service Technician II

SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the Service Technician repairs, services, and builds standard and custom systems for hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems. The Service Technician II may provide guidance to less experienced Service Technicians.

Performs maintenance on assigned customer products that come through the service shop. Disassembles, cleans, and inspects system components for repair. Diagnoses system components and recommends a solution to the customer. Prepares job form listing parts and works necessary to perform the repair. Designs, fabricates, machines, and welds parts and components. Repairs hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems. and other related items.

Assembles new and repaired equipment. Tests repaired equipment for performance and prepares for shipment or long-term storage. Assist customers by answering specific technical questions to help the customer understand the work to be done. Responds to customer inquires regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry. Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business by relating to the customer and drive process improvements.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Typically requires a high school diploma or GED Three (3) to five (5) years of shop experience or an equivalent combination.

Ability to read hydraulic schematics. Strong communication skills required. Basic mechanical knowledge. Ability to operate shop equipment safely. Ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision.

$24.00 - $32.00 (hourly) Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Motion, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
