Sanitation Lead

Reporting directly to the leadership team, the Lead Equipment Cleaner provides daily operational support to the supervisor. This role is vital in maintaining strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) to guarantee the consistent quality and output of our production line.

• Train team members to ensure they fully grasp and implement all SOPs and GMPs.
• Provide operational support to the production team to improve overall workflow efficiency.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication channels with the supervisor and cross-functional staff.
• Oversee the successful execution of the master sanitation schedule.
• Monitor team performance to ensure all assigned duties are completed to standard.
• Verify that all departmental documentation and logs are maintained with total accuracy.
• Tag sanitized equipment with proper identification and clean-status expiration dates to help maintain a safe working environment.
• Assume departmental leadership duties whenever the manager or supervisor is unavailable.
• Uphold all corporate policies and maintain a reliable attendance record.
• Help foster a culture of safety by strictly following all established SOPs and cGMP guidelines.
• Complete additional tasks as requested by management.

Approximately 10% of your time will be dedicated to supporting colleagues with their various tasks or handling other related responsibilities as needed.

Candidates should possess at least two years of experience within a packaging environment, specifically in a lead or line-running capacity. You must demonstrate a strong blend of leadership capabilities, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You must have basic mathematical proficiency and strong verbal and written communication skills, with a preference for bilingual candidates (English/Spanish). You should be able to lead with a balance of decisiveness and collaboration, working closely with your supervisor to implement workplace improvements. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who is confident in their interactions and maintains a hands-on approach to monitoring operations.

The role requires light physical effort, primarily involving standing and walking at a workstation. You will need significant mental and visual focus to ensure the accuracy of all documentation. This includes the ability to read fine print on paper documents and effectively communicate with others in the workplace.
