The GOALS Summer of Service Ameri Corps Summer Associates Program provides individuals with the opportunity to serve their community through hands-on youth programming, community outreach, and outdoor service projects. Members support summer enrichment programs for low-income and at-risk youth by assisting with academic activities, physical fitness, and positive youth engagement. In addition, Summer Associates help expand access to GOALS programs by supporting outreach, enrollment, and family engagement activities.

Some Summer Associates will also support outdoor education and service-learning projects at Camp Valcrest, where youth participate in team-building activities, environmental stewardship, and community service projects. Through these experiences, members help promote leadership, teamwork, and respect for natural spaces while supporting meaningful service opportunities for youth. The program emphasizes personal and professional growth through training, mentorship, and supervised service. Summer Associates gain practical experience in youth development, teamwork, communication, and community engagement while making a positive impact in schools and neighborhoods.

Member Duties :
Ameri Corps Summer Associates will provide direct-service support to GOALS summer programs by assisting with youth enrichment activities, outdoor education, and service projects. Members will support daily programming at school and camp sites, including academic reinforcement, physical activity, team-building, and youth service projects. Summer Associates will also assist with community outreach, enrollment, and family engagement efforts to increase program participation.

Through these activities, members will reinforce GOALS' core values of teamwork, leadership, and service while supplementing the work of year-round VISTAs and expanding GOALS' capacity to serve youth and families during peak summer months.
