This position will be responsible for providing fixed route coverage for the Transportation Department. This position will also provide coverage for all specialty appointments during the fixed routes downtime. This includes all special assistance needed by all clients requiring transportation services to/from home to PACE Center facilities and specialty appointments.
In addition, The Driver (DOT-CDL) is responsible for complying with all DOT regulations.
- Provide fixed route coverage for the Transportation Department.
- Provide coverage for all specialty appointments during the fixed routes downtime.
- Support all special assistance needed by clients requiring transportation services to/from home to PACE Center facilities and specialty appointments.
- Comply with all DOT regulations as the Driver (DOT-CDL).
- Current State of California Class B driver’s license (with P endorsement for multiple passengers) and a clean driving record within the past 3 years.
- Minimum two years of driving experience required; experience with geriatric and/or frail elderly populations preferred.
- Ability to obtain an LA DOT city permit.
- Valid BLS certification or higher, following American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross guidelines.
Pay for this job starts at $25.75 hourly.
Actual salary offers are considered by factors including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. The range is subject to change. Alta Med may offer discretionary bonuses or incentives.
