Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Anaheim Adult Program

Clarvida is seeking a full‑time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment of clients with mental disorders under the direction of a medical doctor.

• Conduct initial client assessment, including obtaining psychiatric and medical history and performing psychiatric and overall health assessments for any presenting problem.
• Order and monitor laboratory studies, following up on abnormal results.
• Prescribe psychiatric medications under the advice and direction of a medical doctor.
• Assess and evaluate responses to medications and monitor for potential side effects or adverse reactions.
• Consult with other members of the treatment team on clients’ treatment plans.
• Document in Anasazi Electronic Health Record, including complete assessment and plan, medication changes, and all mandatory documents as designated by the Program Director.
• Obtain medication consents when appropriate.
• Participate in staff in‑service and case presentation meetings.
• Consult with a medical doctor regularly on treatment plans for clients.
• Perform duties designated by the ACT model treatment modality.
• Conduct home visits and off‑site visits as required by the needs of families and participants.
• Provide support and perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
• May provide direct supervision to LPTs or LVNs on staff.
• Work under minimal supervision by the Program Director and Staff Psychiatrist.

• Research and utilize industry best practices and analyze services to ensure the best possible outcomes.

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s in nursing.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license from the Board of Registered Nursing in the state of practice.

Salary: $87 per hour
