About This Role

The Sp Unit Staff RN in the CVOR department provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who excel in leadership and patient care within a surgical environment.

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the health care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as necessary.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
• Document nursing processes and interventions accurately.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
• Maintain a safe environment and adhere to workplace safety principles.
• Practice customer service standards and ensure patient confidentiality.

Education:

• Registered Nurse License (California)

Experience:

• 1-year recent experience circulating Cardiac Surgeries or completion of a Kaiser Permanente or equivalent CVOR course within the past 12 months.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse License in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
