The primary role of Horticulture Exterminator Integrated Pest Management Applicators is to identify and treat structural-related pest problems. The applicator will resolve and perform pest-management-related practices applying integrated pest management techniques.
Responsibilities- Identification of insects, rodents, and birds and maintaining a practical knowledge of best control methods
- Applying corrective measures for structural pest issues as needed
- Recording and tracking of daily inspections and treatments
- Ensuring that all pest-control-related equipment (including rinsate collection and pesticide-warehouse facility) are maintained and in good working condition
- Performing preventive maintenance of pest related problems
- Maintaining “Disney Show” quality
- Keeping the inside of vehicles clean, organized and restocked
- Keeping the back-of-house areas in compliance with Disneyland Resort standards
- California Qualified Applicator License or Certificate
- Registered Applicator or Branch 2 Field Representative license or the ability to acquire is necessary
- Experience with spray equipment and application of pesticides
- Working knowledge of MS Office software
- Wildlife trapping experience
- Bird mitigation knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively
Individuals assigned to the Horticulture Integrated Pest Management Applicator (Horticulture Exterminator) position are required to attend an annual Hearing Conservation Training class and Respiratory Protection Training class. They are also required to submit to an annual medical evaluation, fit test, audiometric exam and a semi-annual blood cholinesterase test.
Schedule AvailabilityShifts are typically at night, and individuals must have availability to work Sunday through Saturday, any shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) including holidays, and must be open to any days off.

Pay Rate and BenefitsThe pay rate for this role in California is $30.29 to $36.89 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
