Sample Control Technician I

Onterris is a global environmental solutions company helping organizations address complex challenges at the intersection of environmental pressures, regulatory expectations, and operational risks.

• Drive the company vehicle to transport supplies and samples between Onterris Orange and Anaheim locations for processing.
• Receive environmental samples into the laboratory according to SOPs.
• Perform data entry and login of sample and test information into the Laboratory Information System (LIMS).
• Label sample containers and equipment, store them in appropriate locations, and contact the proper department to inform them of short holding times and/or rush requests.
• Assist in sample bottle preparation, equipment prep, sample management, archiving, and disposal; focus on daily pickups and deliveries to ensure smooth transport between sites.
• Maintain the company vehicle in optimal condition.
• Participate in focus teams to improve efficiency.
• Comply with the company’s Quality Assurance Program.
• Comply with the company’s Health and Safety Plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Lab experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for the duration of the shift while performing routine tasks.
• Driving record that meets the company’s requirements for operating company vehicles.
• Knowledge of general lab practices and lab safety (preferred).
• Ability to multi‑task and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

• Requires sitting, standing, and walking.
• Must work in a stationary position for the entire shift.
• Must lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Work environment consists of an office and/or laboratory setting.

Primary location:
Anaheim, CA; may support in Orange, CA as needed.

Schedule:

1st Shift, 10:00am – 6:30pm, Monday through Friday.

$18.00 – $23.00 per hour, DOE.
