• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 45 lbs, occasionally up to 60 lbs.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).

The Utilities Clerk assists in the proper maintenance of the store, particularly in the Produce Department, and assists customers on the store floor as needed. The Utilities Clerk will properly bag groceries for customers when needed, carry out grocery requests, and maintain store cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities include retrieving and maintaining store carts, running price checks, assisting with go‑backs, maintaining the check stand, and removing waste from the parking area.
