Job Summary
The Cashier is responsible for accurately collecting and reconciling revenue while providing exceptional hospitality services to all guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner.
Essential Functions- Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers and clients. Acknowledges and greets guests immediately (20%).
- Maintains accuracy and composure while under pressure; uses proper greetings and phone etiquette (15%).
- Assists guests with directions and other inquiries, provides information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions (10%).
- Determines guest charges and processes payments via cash, credit or direct billing; categorizes tickets for audit and furnishes receipts (20%).
- Completes accurate and timely shift reports; follows SOPs related to cash banks; operates registers, gates, and credit card machines (20%).
- Completes all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by Lead Cashier/Account Manager (15%).
- Education:
High school diploma or GED. - Experience:
One to three months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Knowledge:
Basic math skills, reading/writing English, simple correspondence, ability to add/subtract numbers and perform money operations, understanding of 24‑hour time, rates, and time passed. - Licensure/Certification:
None specified.
