Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to support and expand structural engineering practice areas within a growing Southern California office. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about driving strategic growth.

You will partner closely with project managers, market leaders, and senior leadership to build client relationships, identify new opportunities, and support business development initiatives across targeted markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain leads, market intelligence, and client contacts to support business growth
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within target markets
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development strategies with market initiatives
  • Support proposal development, RFQs/RFPs, and interview preparation
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new opportunities
  • Track and manage project leads and client engagement activities
  • Participate in industry events, organizations, and client-focused initiatives
  • Contribute to firm-wide business development planning and marketing strategies
  • Maintain CRM data and assist with marketing collateral, website updates, and branding materials
  • Coach and support project managers in client engagement and presentation readiness
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • 4+ years of business development experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proven ability to research and generate leads
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe In Design
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Strong writing and editing capabilities
  • Experience managing RFQ/RFP processes
  • Familiarity with marketing, graphics, or design production
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field
