4. This onsite role focuses on TIG welding of stainless steel and steel parts, supporting production and prototype development. The role requires precision craftsmanship and collaboration with Engineering on new designs.

• Layout work requirements, obtain needed equipment, and perform routine repair and alteration operations.
• Inspect weld bead size, compliance with specifications, and blend, grind or polish welds to meet minimum wall requirement.
• Work with Engineering on R&D projects and Redline Drawings.
• Handle prototype welding projects (about 50% of workload at times).
• Use calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges to measure repaired parts and ensure dimensional requirements are met.
• Complete production paperwork and sign work orders identifying operations performed.
• Perform standard hand and machine welding operations to fabricate or restore parts where tolerances are not extremely tight.
• Build up finished machined surfaces, repair simple cracks, and routine imperfections.
• Use measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of equipment as necessary.
• Perform routine servicing throughout the area following written procedures.
• Assist others with new process tryouts and other specialized assignments.
• Perform bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing as required.

• High school diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• ≥ 2 years TIG welding experience with stainless steel and steel.
• Welding Certificate Level 1 GTAW Stainless Steel required.
• Manufacturing or aviation industry experience preferred.
• Associate’s Degree in Welding preferred.
