ResponsibilitiesThe Pest Control Technician is responsible for performing industry‑leading pest management services for residential customers. Key duties include:
- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest‑free environment.
- Provide advice on how to reduce the risk of future infestations.
- Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, assist with sales to current customers, and expand services to new customers.
- Ensure all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
- Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle.
- Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Work around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals with training provided for all conditions.
- Operate in all climates using company‑provided weather gear.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA‑compliant respirator, and keep a clean, shaven face for rebreather seal.
- High school diploma or GED; related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
- Licenses or certificates required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (provided by the company).
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
- Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills for following product label instructions.
- Customer‑facing experience preferred.
Hourly: $17.00 – $23.00
