Overview:
The Security Technician plays a pivotal role in the installation of security systems, ensuring projects meet Premise One's quality standards and customer satisfaction. This position requires proficiency in Card Access, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection systems, along with strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:- Installation & Direction:
- Execute project installations as directed by the Lead Technician.
- Follow project drawings and manufacturer specifications for all installations.
- Team
Collaboration:- Communicate professionally with field staff and customers.
- Collaborate effectively with the Project Manager, Field Superintendent, Lead Technicians, and other team members.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to company safety guidelines and requirements consistently.
- Technical Expertise:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of security technology and installation processes.
- Training & Development:
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs provided by Premise One.
Skills:
- Proficient in installing Card Access, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection systems.
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, and professionalism in all interactions.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to travel at least 60% of the time within the designated work location or regional territory.
- Experience with Lenel, Software House, Axis, or Avigilon systems is a plus.
- Possess basic telecom tools, including punch downs, snips, wire strippers, and cordless drills.
- Availability to work off shift work, overtime, weekends, and out-of-town assignments, as needed.
- Ability to handle physical workloads effectively.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in AV, Security, Access Control, or Infrastructure Cabling.
- Must possess basic hand tools necessary for project completion.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Familiarity with industry tools and equipment.

Experience:Three to Five years related experience and/or training required.
LanguageSkills:
Ability to read and interpret documents, write correspondence, and communicate effectively with others and third parties, preferably, and sometimes exclusively, in English.
Mathematical SkillsCompetent ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Competent ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:Competent ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in situations where only limited standardizations exists.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Driving is a requirement for this position therefore A valid driver's license is required. The employee's motor vehicle record will be subject to the policies and provisions contained in the company's Fleet Safety Program.
