Painter - Painting Apartments
This role focuses on exterior painting of stucco walls, wood trim, and railings for a residential apartment community. You will perform detailed prep work, operate spray equipment, and apply high-quality finishes to exterior surfaces in an outdoor environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare exterior surfaces, including stucco walls, wood trim, and railings, by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching as needed.
- Perform detailed paint preparation work such as masking, taping, and protecting adjacent surfaces to ensure clean lines and minimal overspray.
- Operate spray guns to apply paint and coatings evenly and efficiently on exterior surfaces, following project specifications and best practices.
- Use hand tools such as brushes, mini rollers, putty knives, caulking guns, and utility knives to complete detailed and touch-up work.
- Apply caulk and patch materials to fill cracks, holes, and imperfections prior to painting.
- Assist with basic drywall-related prep work as needed to support painting activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling, storage, and cleanup of tools, materials, and equipment.
- Inspect completed work for quality, consistency, and adherence to project standards, making corrections as necessary.
- Follow all safety procedures while working outdoors, including proper use of ladders, extension poles, and personal protective equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and follow direction to complete painting and prepping tasks on schedule.
- Proven experience with exterior painting on stucco walls, wood trim, and railings.
- Demonstrated spray painting experience, including safe and effective operation of spray guns.
- Strong paint preparation skills, including sanding, masking, and surface cleaning.
- Ability to perform basic drywall-related prep tasks in support of painting work.
- Capability to work outdoors for extended periods while maintaining quality and productivity.
- Reliable work ethic and a consistently positive, professional attitude.
- Ability to successfully complete a standard pre-employment drug screen in accordance with company policy.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with apartment community or multi-unit residential painting projects.
- Comfort working with ladders, extension poles, and other equipment commonly used in exterior painting.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering clean, high-quality finishes.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing project needs.

Work EnvironmentThis position is entirely outdoors at a residential apartment community in Huntington Beach, CA. You will work on exterior building surfaces, including stucco walls and wood trim, using spray guns and standard painting tools such as work boots, a two-gallon bucket, quality brushes, a mini roller handle, a putty knife, a caulking gun, an extension pole, and a utility knife. The work involves standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods and may require working on ladders or elevated areas.
You will operate in a construction-style environment where safety, cleanliness, and proper tool use are essential.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
