Dispatching & Routing
- Schedule, dispatch, and monitor drivers for inbound and outbound deliveries.
- Plan efficient routes to minimize delays, fuel usage, and overall transportation costs.
- Adjust schedules quickly when delays or unexpected issues arise.
Operations Support
- Coordinate with warehouse, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure smooth load preparation and on‑time departures.
- Track shipments in real time and provide updates to internal teams and customers.
Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers regarding routing, instructions, and load information.
- Communicate service issues proactively and provide solutions to prevent service failures.
- Build strong working relationships with drivers, vendors, carriers, and customers.
System & Administrative Tasks
- Enter and update system with dispatch details, load statuses, and notes.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years experience in transportation, dispatching, or logistics (preferred).
- Mustpossesspositive team-work attitude and open to learning opportunities.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment and manage time‑sensitive tasks.
- Proficiency with TMS platforms, and Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and typing on a computer
