Billing Specialist - Accounting
Billing specialist is responsible for supporting our operating segments in the preparation and submission of invoices to our clients. This role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. Successful billing specialists have excellent organizational skills and an eye for analysis to reconcile weekly reports to client invoices.
Essential Duties- Prepare client invoices in accordance with contract requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely generation of invoices and billing statements.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a professional manner.
- Utilize client required invoice interfaces.
- Must possess strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve billing issues.
- Prepare and maintain reports for billing status and client cost as required.
- Professional communications and responses to client inquiries
- Must possess ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
- Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero‑incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Minimum of 3 years related experience in accounts receivable and invoicing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel required.
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, multitask, and remain focused.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work successfully with a wide variety of people at different levels within the organization.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience uploading invoices into electronic submissions portals for clients preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud preferred.
- Oil & Gas experience preferred.
