Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented accountant with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in financial software and Microsoft programs. The Accountant 3 will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing insightful reports, and ensuring strict adherence to international accounting standards.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records for the Alaska International Airports System.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support timely audits and reporting requirements.
  • Provide precise capital project information to support decision making.
  • Collaborate with the Fiscal team to deliver outstanding customer service.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Analysis and Assessment:
    Use information technology to collect, analyze, and disseminate data.
  • Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving:
    Apply logical and systematic problem‑solving approaches.
  • Oral and Written Communication:
    Clearly communicate technical information.
  • Principles of Accounting:
    Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, double‑entry bookkeeping, accruals, financial statements, ledgers, and journals.
  • Technical Competence:
    Apply knowledge from formal training or extensive on‑job experience.

Equivalent to a post‑secondary education or progressive professional experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial management.
