Job Description

What you will be doing:
Supervises, trains, evaluates, and delegates duties to staff in the Audit and Adjustment section. Monitors staff performance and the execution of assigned audit and adjustment accounting activities. Plans short and long-term goals and develops staffing plans. Assign duties to positions, coordinating workflow with other units, and controlling resource use. Ensures efficient completion of accounting audit and adjustment activities through staff's performance.
Two years of technical level accounting or bookkeeping experience, of which at least one year was at the full-proficiency level. Substitutions:
Certification as an Accounting Technician from an accredited college will substitute for one year of the required experience at the non-full-proficiency level. Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for up to one year of the required experience at the non-full-proficiency level (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month) if it includes at least 6 semester/8 quarter hours in Accounting.
Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required two years of experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month) if it includes at least 9 semester/12 quarter hours at or above the 200 level in Accounting. An associate's degree in Accounting or Business Administration from an accredited college will substitute for the required two years of experience if it includes at least 6 semester/8 quarter hours at or above the 200 level in Accounting.
