Pay rate $32-35 hour depending on experience

Overview

The Regulatory Compliance Reporting Accountant is responsible for driving key reporting activities and functions related to AK & WY State regulatory requirements.

Essential

Job Responsibilities
  • File and pay all tax and royalty report to the state.
  • Evaluate all tax or royalty incentives and deductions to ensure benefits are taken.
  • Independently research and document agency requirements to ensure calculation / reports meet regulations.
  • Assist in the coordination of regulatory audits. Respond to audit requests timely.
  • Completes routine tasks promptly and accurately under limited supervision.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of business processes and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with internal reporting policies and procedures as well as state regulations.
  • Prepares journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assist on complex master data set-ups for tax or royalty reports.
  • Ensure proper procedures are in place to reconcile payables with payments and tracking resolution.
  • Able to complete ad-hoc requests and special projects that require knowledge of state reporting as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-3 years' Corporate Accounting experience
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Outlook
  • Must be able to pass background and drug screen
