The Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of Workers Compensation, is recruiting for a Workers Compensation Technician located in Anchorage. No Cover Letter Required!
This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 12.
What You Will Be DoingIn this position, you will provide information and assistance to injured workers, claim administrators, attorneys, and other parties involved in Workers’ Compensation matters. You will also review filings to ensure compliance with relevant statutes and regulations and determine the appropriate action to take.

This position contributes to the Division s ability to meet this mission by providing the public with information and guidance about the Alaska Workers Compensation Act statutes and regulations.

Two years of journey level clerical work experience, performing tasks that require applying general programmatic and/or administrative knowledge and skill to complete assigned tasks. The required experience includes, but is not limited to, work such as Office Assistant 1 job class with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer.
OR
One year of advanced level clerical work experience, performing tasks that require determining administrative and/or programmatic tasks to be completed, prioritizing work, and deciding the appropriate action to be taken based on interpretation and application of the organization s programs, policies, and regulations. The required experience includes, but is not limited to, work such as Office Assistant 2 job class with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer.
