The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services (OCS) is recruiting for full-time Office Assistant 1 located in Anchorage, Alaska.
What You Will Be DoingThe Office Assistant 1 position is responsible for processing all incoming and outgoing discovery documents. Communicating with various agencies and the public over the phone and email, processing incoming/outgoing legal documents, creating case files, organizing case files, scanning, filing, faxing, and other duties as needed. Daily courier service to OCS offsite offices and other agencies. Other duties include back up support for the front desk and any other clerical duties as needed.

This position is located in the Anchorage Regional Office in mid-town off Tudor Road and is within walking distance to several amenities.

All positions require a successful completion of a background investigation, including fingerprinting and a criminal records check.
Additionally, while the Division does have vehicles assigned to it, they may not always be available for staff use. Mileage reimbursement is available when a personal vehicle is used for work-related matters. Current automotive insurance must be in place prior to use of a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the State.
The successful candidate may be required to attend multiple training courses normally located in Anchorage.
