Department Representative – Specialty Loan Documentation Unit

The Department Representative will work with the Specialty Loan Documentation Team, performing intermediate administrative and support functions. The position is onsite with opportunities for development in the lending field. Salary commensurate with experience, starting at $21.00 per hour.

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m.‑5 p.m.

Responsibilities
  • Compose correspondence, update and maintain records, develop spreadsheets, create forms and templates, and prepare and format documents using multiple software programs.
  • Perform work‑area specific duties and assist staff with special projects assigned by supervisor, including generating reports, compiling statistics, and summarizing data for supervisor approval.
  • Answer, route, and place telephone calls, receive and relay messages, distribute mail, greet and direct visitors, and schedule appointments.
  • Respond to internal and external customer requests for information, maintaining awareness of subject‑matter experts within the work area and the bank for effective referral.
  • Schedule and coordinate meeting facilities and equipment, take minutes, and distribute reviewed and approved minutes to appropriate personnel.
  • Perform other work‑related duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Maintain customer confidence and protect the bank’s operations by identifying and protecting confidential information.
Education and Experience

Minimum:
Two years office, administrative, or related experience, or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
Preferred
:
Specific business‑unit area related experience.

  • Demonstrated word‑processing and spreadsheet software skills, Internet research abilities, good communication skills, and ability to type 35 wpm.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively write routine reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization and clearly articulate ideas and facts.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Reach with hands and arms, talk and hear frequently, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
