Summary
As a EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT (EXECUTIVE SCHEDULER), you will serve as an Executive Assistant and Scheduler that reports directly to the Federal Co-Chair. The incumbent supports the mission of Denali Commission by assisting the Federal Co-Chair in a wide variety of administrative and program support efforts.

Duties
Help
As an EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT (EXECUTIVE SCHEDULER), you will:
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, conferences, and events for the Federal Co-Chair.
- Receive visitors and telephone calls to the Federal Co-Chair. Determine nature of calls or business of visitors.
- Provide administrative and general information about Denali Commission's functions, goals and objectives, work processes, and administrative operations.
- Organize travel arrangements for the Federal Co-Chair, including hotel and transportation reservations, notify specific offices and others of dates involved, also collaborate with the Administrative Officer to make requests for travel authorization, travel vouchers, etc.
- Attend meetings as requested by the Federal Co-Chair and take notes on discussion to the extent deemed necessary.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Key Requirements:
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-09, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Experience maintaining calendars, scheduling, and planning events for management.
- Experience resolving conflicting appointments and communicating with nonprofit, tribal organizations, or private sector.
OR
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
Combination or education and experience.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A two-year trial period may be required. Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary period.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency
- If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
- Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
