Position Summary
:
The Front Desk Coordinator is the first point of contact for members, vendors, callers, and staff, helping maintain a welcoming and organized office. This role oversees front desk operations, routes calls and guests
- Greet members, dependents, surviving spouses, and union representatives in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and front desk inquiries promptly.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail, deliveries, and outgoing correspondence.
- Process return mail by recording it in the appropriate .
- Maintain orderly reception and common areas to support a positive visitor experience.
- Provide clerical support, including data entry, filing, copying, and document preparation.
- Manage sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of front desk, receptionist, customer service, or administrative support experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional phone presence.
- Proficiency with common office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to remain courteous, calm, and efficient in a busy reception environment.
- Commitment to customer service, confidentiality, and reliability.
Work Conditions
:
This role typically works at a reception front desk area with frequent phone use, computer work, and regular interaction with visitors, staff, and service providers. The position may require sitting or standing for extended periods, managing a steady flow of inquiries, and maintaining a professional presence during regular business hours.
Additional Information
:
This position may involve providing support in other areas of ESC, as needed. Attendance at certain Union meetings may also be required.
